Signature Sampler @ Cafe Sushi!

After staying in the lab late yesterday night, I decided to do a take out at Cafe sushi again.
I usually get maki rolls, but this time I ordered the Signature Sampler ($15) and Seaweed salad ($5).

The seaweed salad was actually disappointing.... It had that distinct smell that sometimes seaweed salad has.. It was a bit surprising since i was expecting something better from a popular sushi place. (Fin's Sushi's seaweed salad was actually quite nice, no smell & tasty!)

However, the signature sampler itself, was heavenly! :)

Although there are only 5 pieces in each set, I thoroughly enjoyed each one.

I think I'll start ordering this, or even the Chef's sampler ($20) whenever I go to Cafe Sushi from now on! It's good to taste something other than just tuna or salmon. Even though I had it less than 24 hours ago...already want to go and try it again!!!

Creamy Rye Reginetti Pasta with Smoked Salmon and Sugar Snap Peas

Already fourth meal I've made with my roommate :)

Although the pasta didn't turn out to be 'Al dante', since I like soft pasta rather than hard, it was fine with me. One thing I might change though is that I might boil or cook the sugar snap peas.... It was a bit weird to not cook it at all...

Trapeze-"Heels off"

Second Trapeze class today!

After seeing my 'Knee Hang' trick that I learned from the first class, the instructor, Molly, said I can move on to the next trick, 'Heels Off'! After practicing that move a few times, I also got to practice heels off with catch. It doesn't look natural or smooth yet (especially the catching part, I should spread my arms more straight next time, without waving them.....-_-haha), but still it was so much fun to learn! Molly told me I'll be learning Straddle Whip next time. Although I don't even know what it is, already looking forward to learning the new trick! :)

p.s. Molly said I have good control of my body, and asked if I was a gymnast before. She was surprised when I said I wasn't...haha.. Maybe she was just being nice but still made me feel good. Maybe all those work-out I have done so far is finally paying off?

This last video is my second trial for 'heels off with catch'; Although the catch wasn't successful (Molly said I didn't do anything wrong though and that there was a problem in some timing that they used?), since my overall movement looks a bit more natural it probably might have been a nicer looking catch if it worked?
